Monthly wellness workshops that heal and restore
One of our main goals at Unity is to demonstrate how relevant the ancient practices of yoga can be in our hectic modern lives. This is easily achieved through our monthly yoga-based wellness workshops. Workshops at Unity address common health and balance challenges many of us experience in life. Participants leave revitalized with relevant useful techniques on how to apply yoga and other practices to their life for wellness.

Ease Back Pain with Yoga - Back By Request (New Time)
This workshop will soothe your aching back, calm your mind and rejuvenate your spirit If you are 8 out of 10 people that experience back pain of some kind − and enjoy yoga or are interested in exploring yoga − then this workshop is perfect for you. Back pain is one of the top reasons many individuals come to yoga and most seek relief in some way.

In this workshop you will learn:
  • Common causes of back pain and how to minimize these situations 
  • How to use yoga as a therapeutic tool to relieve your aching back, which also contributes to neck and shoulder pain
  • Variety of postures that stretch, release and strengthen the muscles that support the spine
  • Restorative poses to release back pain, reduce stress and revitalize

Time: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Putting Yoga and The Laws of Attraction to Work To Help You Achieve Your Life Goals and Dreams 
This for all the ambitious gals who want to plant the seeds of new and old dreams.    
Feel like you are held back from realizing a new goal or dream in your life? You are not alone! In this fun and empowering female only session we will explore yoga and laws of attraction to propel us on a path to achieving our life goals and dreams. Goals and dreams can be anything we long to bring into our life. Goals make life exciting, joyful and unique and allow us to let our individual talents and light shine in the world.

In this empowering workshop you will learn:
  • High level exploration of laws of attraction
  • Recognize how our thoughts help or deter us from reaching our goals
  • Series of yoga postures to remove energy blocks, over come fear, cultivate confidence and tap into our personal power
  • Breathing and mediation exercises help rid ourselves of negative thoughts that hold us back
  • Session ends with 20 min instruction on how to make your very own vision board. Vision board supplies are optional but extra 
  • Feel free to bring pictures, quotes and visuals to this workshop and begin assembling your own board after class while you enjoy companionship of female friends and healthy, organic snacks

Sleep Better With Yoga
When you’re sleep-deprived it becomes difficult to function well and enjoy life. Insomnia and other sleep disorders afflict more than one-third of Americans today. Untreated sleep disorders have been linked to variety health issues and chronic diseases. A regular yoga practice can lead to a deeper more restorative sleep. Improving sleep quality can lead to instant improvement in health status and life joy.

In this informative workshop you will learn:
Common barriers to a good night’s sleep
  • A series of exercises on stretching, breathing and meditation that lead to a more restful restorative sleep
  • A brief history of yoga and how yoga can enhance health and well-being
  • A series of postures that release stress in areas of the body that commonly are affected
  • Breathing exercises that calm the mind and increase focus
  • How to initiate a relaxation response and rejuvenate during short work breaks or at lunchtime
